WHAT IS BLOCKCHAIN MATE?
BlockChain Mate provides purpose-built private, permissioned blockchains for specific industry vertical applications. As the data is typically sourced from disparate organisations, a traditional database is not suitable. Blockchain Mate provides the infrastructure to link the silos/repositories of each organisation by donating key streams of information about the data (not the actual data itself).
The multiple streams used in BlockChain Mate’s blockchain contain only a hash of the item’s payload embedded inside the chain, alongside the item’s keys and some other metadata. The payload itself is stored locally by the publisher and propagated to the stream’s subscribers using peer-to-peer file sharing techniques, with the on-chain hash providing verification.
BlockChain Mate never stores the data – it facilitates the sharing and aggregation of data where user-defined permissions allow.
HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?
BlockChain Mate is a private blockchain service. It enables secure and compliant transport of data. It operates using permissioned subscribers to blockchain nodes and verifies the sources and destinations of data in real time.
The multiple nodes, time-stamping, user permissions, and cryptography of the blockchain ensure the data cannot be tampered with or altered in retrospect. This is perfect for the carriage and aggregation of sensitive and confidential information, as Blockchain Mate does not store data.

Blockchain Mate builds, manages, operates, and maintains industry- or application-specific blockchains. Industry participants and consortiums pay annual access fees to utilise the blockchain.
